Safe Environment

Forming disciples to know, love, and serve God.

We are committed to facilitate a safe environment for minors and vulnerable adults by requiring all employees, as well as volunteers who have regular or unsupervised interaction with minors or vulnerable adults, to be E3 qualified. The Essential 3 (or E3) qualification includes:

  1. Complete the online background check.
  2. Complete the VIRTUS safe environment training: Protecting God's Children.
  3. Complete Code of Conduct training and Mandatory Reporting training online.

These are mandated by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops for volunteers and staff alike to help protect children and vulnerable adults entrusted to our care. Some examples of volunteers who need to get certified are:

  • Catechists
  • Youth Ministry Volunteers
  • Stephen Ministry Volunteers
  • Others, as required by the archbishop.
